Pros

Was my first time working at a startup, and I instantly fell in love with it. The people were extremely smart, go-getters, who also knew how to have fun. The culture was the typical startup grind, with awesome perks and tightly knit team. It's been some time since i've worked at Virool, but I'm a bit surprised by the harsh critique of management. Alex in particular, was very smart and went out of his way to praise employees on a job well done. He did have a tendency to micro-manage, but was never over whelming. I learned a lot working at Virool that I was able to take onto my next venture.

Cons

Constant changes in strategy and plans for the sales team from sales managers. Some perks quickly faded away as the company scaled and management realized they weren't feasible.

Pros

Virool is a great place to work. It has its own culture, and not all people can thrive within it. But if you share the vision and like to fight obstacles, you will have a lot of fun here! Alex is a great leader and really cares about Viroolians. He has his own style, which is focused on execution and progress. He does not like when people create doubt for themselves because that triggers doubt for everybody. It is like disease that spreads fast, and Alex wants Viroolians to be happy and embrace his vision. Some people fail to work under his leadership, which I don’t see as bad. It is silly to think that there is one culture for all. Look at Steve Jobs. Even Wozniak struggled working with him. But that’s what created Apple’s DNA and the multibillion business. Virool has a really cool mission and a great potential to become a multibillion dollar company. I just don't get people who complain about their experiences because they want to have it all without doing anything… start with yourself and stay humble.

Cons

2016 was a year of refocusing which resulted in high employee turnover, but the company is past that.
