Pros
Two of the best things about Vizlib are the people and the community. Additionally, working in Support, the opportunities to learn are robust. We touch in with almost every department an seeing many varied Qlik implementations from small one-person organizations up to huge multi-national ones allows for diverse learning opportunities. Vizlib leverages the globe to find talented staff. It is great to learn from so many experts. The opportunity to work closely with so many different cultures is incredible. One of the highlights for me! The world is a pretty big place and expanding your life experience beyond your city, or state or country is fantastic! There is a good life-work balance at Vizlib. No one is expected to work all hours of the day or night and all levels of management are accessible. There is a hierarchy as one would expect, but it is not a closed-door environment (even if you are remote). CEO is accessible and connects with all staff regularly. Transparency is one of the company values. Speaking of values, they are not just something that HR says. They are real and upheld throughout the workday. The vacation and holidays are decent. Still a loss for me, but not a horrible hit. If you are coming from a large organization, you will probably be thrilled with the holidays and the vacation bank is better than most. And, they make you take the time! Unlike many businesses that allow for rollover, there is no rollover. Use the time off to rejuvenate and refresh and spend time with family. You do not have to jump through hoops to take your time off. This was pretty refreshing... And no one will call you on your personal device when you are away. That is respected as your time.
Cons
Salary is eh... perhaps it depends on where you are in your career though. Don't let that stop you from applying and exploring. It might be perfect for you needs and wants. Ask for the range if you interview versus sharing your expectations when asked so you do not get too invested in the idea of joining the team.
