      Pros

      Vocabulary.com was an amazing company to work for and my dream job! Before the IXL acquisition, we had such a lovely culture of hardworking people who truly cared about educators. Every department worked together and we all celebrated the wins together. Also, we has free lunch on Wednesdays! The founders are so smart and they were very approachable. We used to do an annual symposium (before COVID of course) and got to learn so much about how the product works from people in different departments.

      Cons

      The IXL acquisition wasn't the right fit for Vocabulary.com's vision. Unfortunately the founders couldn't have known that.

      Pros

      Great people when I was there. My favorite job I've ever had. Unfortunately, the company moved Inside Sales to Tucson and I wasn't going to move there from NYC.

      Cons

      None. Only place that I actually liked everyone I worked with.

      Pros

      I feel lucky to have worked at Vocabulary.com. Not only did I learn a ton while working there, I also got to interact with educators every day. Whether it was through calling them or leading in person trainings, I definitely felt like I was making a positive impact in education. It was great to work with customers who really valued our product because it worked so well for students.

      Cons

      It's a small company, so everyone has a lot on their plate, but that's what has to happen in order for a company to grow.
