Pros

Dedicated, friendly and knowledgeable colleagues. Work/life balance. Noble ambitions.

Cons

Senior management have no real-world commercial awareness, dont use proper due diligence when making high-level strategic decisions. Their solution to a problem is to throw more people from the inner clique at it, despite their lack of subject expertise, thus increasing costs. They preach collaboration and inclusion but dont involve subject experts when making project decisions and setting objectives. Matrix way of working dilutes expertise, multiple people from each team have to be involved, this drives up project costs and kills flexibility and adaptability. No imagination or desire to explore different approaches to project management, just throw "what they know" at new projects. Dishonest line management at senior level, internal politics and cliques rule.

Pros

colleague support for one another

Cons

The WRAP of old is no more. Once an organisation with a solid foundation of staff, it is now so top heavy it's surprising it hasn't already toppled over. After 2 "restructures" - rounds of redundancy - in 2 years, where those who do the work have been culled, there's not much of WRAP left. The heads of and SLT are so detached from the rest of the staff that very few of them seem to comprehend what it is to do the actual work. Will WRAP even exist this time next year?... (NB - Harriet Lamb is no longer the CEO)
