Pros
- Hybrid work environment/flexible schedule for most in the org - A program exists to work in other countries outside of Canada & the US - Extended long weekends in the summer - Compensation is industry standard - Benefits are really solid - A lot of really talented people to work with (you're never the smartest person in the room) -- I've also had the privilege of making life long friends along the way - At a time, there were a number of growth opportunities, although they've slowed down because of the macro economic situation the tech industry is in
Cons
- Tough business decisions had to be made which resulted in some talented individuals being laid off (wasn't exactly communicated well during or post lay offs) - There's a lack of understanding across the org as to why certain business decisions were/are being made. There's a lot of variable factors here, e.g. newness in ones career, so providing more support resources to managers or ICs to help further understand those decisions would be beneficial
