Pros

Literally NONE! A very bad experience, stressful environment and a very poor culture. High turnover, management set wrong expectations from the beginning, just to attract talent...they leave though within the first quarter, so I'm not sure what's the point...?

Cons

Poor pay, No training, No life balance. 24/7 work during events - cheapest accommodation booked during events for staff, we had cockroaches in our hotel room in Lisbon during WebSummit. Unexperienced management and NO HR in at WebSummit +130 people, new office opening but no HR Manager! Truth to be told few were hired in the past, but they didn't last longer than 3 months! Highest turnover and contract roles ONLY, no permanent contracts, this is disclosed at the offer stage only though...

Pros

the events and the people are great.

Cons

management is inexperienced. the company is in transition/growth mode and experiencing major growing pains. their track record of ending employee contracts abruptly without warning/reason/notice is insane. in the case of sales, they end all communication once you are out the door and don't pay out commissions owed (?!)

Pros

Struggling to find any, to be fair.

Cons

It's a boys club, and many of the propaganda spewed by the CEO is to use managers as tokens of diversity. Managers are ill-prepared, and will eventually push you out - no matter how well you perform. You will go far if you are a rule follower, but that's about it. The role is one of a call center - you are expected to take on 15-18 meetings a day for 20 minutes each only to be at the bottom of the company. Do not expect to be taken seriously if you are apart of the Startups team. Also, tenure in the company supersedes results.
