Pros

the events and the people are great.

Cons

management is inexperienced. the company is in transition/growth mode and experiencing major growing pains. their track record of ending employee contracts abruptly without warning/reason/notice is insane. in the case of sales, they end all communication once you are out the door and don't pay out commissions owed (?!)

Pros

Struggling to find any, to be fair.

Cons

It's a boys club, and many of the propaganda spewed by the CEO is to use managers as tokens of diversity. Managers are ill-prepared, and will eventually push you out - no matter how well you perform. You will go far if you are a rule follower, but that's about it. The role is one of a call center - you are expected to take on 15-18 meetings a day for 20 minutes each only to be at the bottom of the company. Do not expect to be taken seriously if you are apart of the Startups team. Also, tenure in the company supersedes results.

Pros

Very friendly colleagues. Flexible working hours. Can work remote, but still fun to come to the office. Lots of work functions. Dinners, parties, and a yearly off-site. I'm on a one-year fixed term contract. And honestly, would love to extend beyond. I mean, one could only dream of having an indefinite contract with this company. They're super cool. Super awesome. They look after the well-being of their staff. To be honest for me I love seeing an engaged CEO who's super invested in their company engaged with staff members and want to see their company grow and grow. I find this at least to me a motivating. Always feel encouraged to do more and give more And see this company grow which I know it will. Overall, all I can say is that I'm enjoying working for a Web Summit. Obviously, don't want this journey to end, but if it does, I will remember this place fondly.

Cons

No major cons, but I'd say the fact that colleagues live all across the world and we don't see each other often enough.
