Thanks for taking the time to share this, and for all you’ve contributed over the past four years.
Career growth and recognition matter deeply to us, and I can appreciate how discouraging it can feel to see new roles open while you are pursuing the next step in your own development. Our recent hiring is intentional and tied to careful planning, prioritization, and resourcing. These additions are designed to ensure the right capacity and sustainable workloads, not to ask more of our existing team members. They reflect our commitment to scaling thoughtfully while maintaining a high-performance culture that supports both our people and our customers.
Over the past four years, we have built and refined clear career pathways and leveling frameworks that define what advancement looks like at each stage. In our most recent engagement survey, 84% of employees said they receive actionable feedback that helps them improve, and 81% said they understand what is expected of them in their role. Both are up year over year and above industry benchmarks, showing meaningful progress in clarity and development.
We celebrate approximately 20% of our team members who earn a promotion each year, and top performers continue to receive differentiated cash and equity rewards that reflect their impact. Advancement at Webflow depends on demonstrated readiness for broader scope and impact, and we aim to make that path transparent and achievable for everyone.
I appreciate you sharing your perspective. If you are open to a direct conversation, please reach out to me on Slack or at mike@webflow.com. Feedback like this helps us continue to grow thoughtfully and build a company where great people can do the best work of their careers.
