Pros

- Hiring has accelerated in the last 6 months which has reduced bottlenecks

Cons

- Global payroll team of 1 (for all 480+ employees) means things are missed, and we can't trust our paychecks include everything that they should. - Comp is (far) lower compared to other companies at the same stage, even though they say that we're at the 75th percentile. - International employees (non US and Canada) are international contractors, and get no benefits of being an employee. No news on when there will be new entities set up. Can you actually call yourself remote first if all employees aren't treated equally regardless of their location? - Operationally: expectation and timeline setting around new products has historically been terrible. - Promotion tracks very unclear

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave feedback! I agree with you that we have several opportunities ahead. Many of these align directly with our H2 Objectives; however, I believe it may also help to clarify a few of the points you’ve called out in your review. As you’ve mentioned, over the last year, Webflow has grown significantly. Not only in headcount but by extending our global footprint to welcome team members in new countries worldwide. However, where bottlenecks are removed due to extra hands in some areas, complexity is increased, and new bottlenecks are created in others. I’m happy to share that, as we continue to enhance the fantastic culture, growth and development, and rewards programs that enable our team members, we’ll also focus on additional investments that operationalize our systems, programs, and processes for scale as Webflow continues to grow. I can confirm that we regularly benchmark compensation to ensure that our current practices align both with our philosophy at Webflow and remain competitively aligned to the market. There’s no question that, in some areas, we’ve observed the market outpace benchmarking data. This development is not unique to Webflow; however, we are actively working to assess newly available data, iterate where appropriate, and ensure that our compensation practices remain competitive and equitable globally. To this note, it’s essential to recognize that compensation, benefits, and even time away programs vary by country, both statutory and customary. We’ll continue to design our practices to enable our Webflowers globally, but in a manner that best addresses each country and the legal compliance therein. New to Webflow, I’ve already been able to meet many team members to hear feedback and gain perspective. I’m excited to continue those conversations and would love to discuss your feedback directly and any other that may be top of mind. Please feel free to reach out directly or email me at mike@webflow.com.

Pros

- Seriously smart, kind coworkers - good culture even though remote, offsites and office if you want them - real ownership and trust at the IC level - C-suite and leaders are genuine and accessible - Proudly being remote-first seems to be rarer and rarer these days, no RTO anxiety - Time off, recharge days and sabbaticals are great

Cons

- No longer covering 100% of healthcare costs, which was a very nice benefit - Lots of new people means it's harder to get to know people outside your teams - Things change, fast. Buckle up.

Cons

* The base pay is not that competitive especially given the equity does not/might not amount to anything * Leadership drives decisions very quickly so it seems like expectations are always shifting
