Pros
Easy to book a job that you get matched to.
Cons
This feels like a 1/2 baked product. I took 1 job from this site as a freelancer and it will be my last. Where do I begin with the problems, 1) the job matching issues pointed out by other freelancers is a real issue 2) Support is non-existent 3) The projects have a strict timer and are not poorly validated by Work Genius To elaborate on #3, I took a job that required access to specific assets. Those assets were not available at the time the job was taken but the timer had already started. Seriously WTF!? Support was non-existent from Work Genius to resolve the issue. I messaged the job poster and it took almost 2hours to get a response. I was given 5hrs to complete the job, 2 of which I was a total loss because I was waiting for access to the assets needed to do the job I thought I could get the project done or at least most of it. I got into a flow state and lost track of time. Ended up finishing the project a few minutes past the deadline but could not submit the completed work because Work Genius locked me out of the job and dinged me for missing a deadline. The job was a total mess on top of that. The job poster over simplified the ask because they had a poor understanding of what the job required. During this whole ordeal, I did not get any replies from WG support or any notifications that my timer was about to end. Had I known I could have rushed and submitted some halfassed work and maybe have gotten paid. Now it's a lose lose situation. I sunk hours of work with no pay and I have a completed project that the client won't get. The concept of Work Genius sounds great the actual execution of it..... terrible. I would give this company negative stars if I could. @ Work Genius employees get your act together. You expect flawless quality work on tight deadlines from poorly instructed projects yet don't hold up your end. @freelancers don't waste your time on this site
