Is this your company?

Fun but not lasting. - Field Representative/Manager Working Families Employee Review

Pros

Great social environment, there was lots of enthusiasm for the work from the people who work there. They sure know how to hype things up (if you know what I mean). The job also gives you some good networking opportunities because they work with so many different candidates.

Cons

Let's face it. Little pay, heavy workload, and sore feet aren't exactly on the top of anyone's list of prospective career paths, well that's what working for them entails. They overwork you and under-pay you. There's very no appreciation for your work. Also a lot of backroom office politics going on in this place-it's dirty.

Pros

Overall, it's a great company with worthwhile goals and a realistic understanding of how to get them. As a canvaser, one is allowed to a great degree of personal responsibility in their work, with relatively little oversight. Basically, your supervisors drive you somewhere, you eat lunch, and you knock on doors. There's relatively little chance of failure, so it's pretty rewarding, and it's mostly older people so it's nice to see that the senile aren't always so curmudgeon.

Cons

It is VERY DISORGANIZED. There is no clock in or clock out system. There is no real training. There is relatively little job security. The supervisors can be passive aggressive and upset when unexpressed expectations are failed to be met. Meetings are held in hallways.
