Pros
I started at Yummly in the very early days and stayed 2 years post-acquisition by Whirlpool. I love this company so much...the people, the product, the autonomy and respect given to all. I'm only leaving because after almost 9 years, it is time for me to explore an opportunity in a totally different industry. Yummly is fantastic place for career growth and development. The culture, people, and work environment are like none other and the organization is very flat. They are working on a diverse set of products and advanced technologies (machine learning, IoT, etc), so the work is always really exciting. The people are the best mix of intelligent, hard-working, kind, and compassionate. The leadership team is an extremely well rounded group who are extremely approachable and transparent about every change (both the good and the not so good). The culture is extremely food-centric, so there's always someone testing a recipe, talking about the new restaurant they tried, sharing tips about the best new beers etc. The benefits are as good as they come. Unlimited PTO, generous 401k matching, deep discounts on appliances etc. Generally very good work life balance across teams.
Cons
You get tons of autonomy here, so if you need micromanagement and constant guidance, it may not be the place for you.
