Pros
I had a positive experience interviewing at ZestyAI. The interview process was rigorous and included a brief case study. However, it was also very helpful to get to know the company, meet people I'd be working with, and learn more about the culture. Overall, it was 100% worth the time invested to ensure ZestyAI was a solid long-term fit. Several interviews were 2-on-1, which was also helpful to meet more people in the company. It was not intimidating. The interview process included meeting with the co-founders - they know their stuff. It gives me confidence in ZestyAI long-term. Onboarding has been much more organized than a typical startup. Onboarding sessions are well organized and the schedule is published in advance. It's broken up over multiple days, allowing some downtime in between for meet-and-greets and independent study. Overall, much better than expected or experienced in other companies.
Cons
The process did take a long time, but the thoroughness of the process is beneficial for both parties, so I wouldn't necessarily consider this a con.
