Pros

None relating to any management-initiated schemes spring to mind, unfortunately. There are however some nice people who are always willing to help out, no matter how low you are perceived in the ranks (the old guard, not the influx of idiots that were hired during my tenure).

Cons

Too much time spent talking about decisions - not making any - can't think of a single strategic decision (right or wrong) that was made in the last year - I can list 50+ that were discussed, but none actually enforced. (what have the new management team being doing for nearly 12 months????) Management style : "do as I say not as I do" Employee churn - 20+ people have left the organisation since May'18 - very few have been replaced - but i'm sure this has reflected nicely on the balance sheets. Leaders who act like it's a 20,000+ strong organisation (it's only 70ish) and therefore treat people like they are just a name attached to an email. No pay rises - there haven't been any for 3-4 years - You are always promised a pay review which usually starts and ends like this "no pay rises" - Given the rate of inflation over the last 2 years my take home pay ended up being less on my last month in employment compared to my first month of employment - but hey, who goes to work to get paid, right? If you seek development and progression elsewhere this is also non existent - no budget or time for training or development and i've known colleagues that have asked to spend more time on other technology workloads to develop and flat out been denied only then to bring on board poor/cheap hires to do those projects. There is no way you can win. A series of (TITANIC) errors have been made (some knows, others covered up) that will soon be catching up with the company - sending it crashing into the gutter A preference is given to the new hires, it's almost as if they are hoping anyone that worked at the company pre-May 2018 will just leave so they can get an entire new workforce without having to manage out or make people redundant. Penny pinching which is seeping into every aspect of the company - Sales, Deal reviews, client engagement, resources, marketing, office decor, organisational policies etc... Hiring cheaply - related to the above - as other reviews have highlighted, there has been a certain amount of churn amongst the employee head count, and these people have been replaced with cheaper, less capable hires. Once more, related to the above - Hiring cheaply or even not at all means some key members of staff end up working until 2/3am some evening just to fit in cover for roles that have not been re-hired or cover for new employees that aren't up to scratch. New senior hires that have not taken the time to get to know the industry or business and do not listen to the many. Possibly the worst and most damming aspect of bluesoucre - It is no longer relevant to clients, the marketplace or vendors. They are scrambling to become relevant once again, perhaps too late.

Thanks for the review. Disappointed that you worked for Bluesource for all that time and didn't feel you could bring any of this to your line manager or I as I think we could have had a great debate about how to strengthen the business for the future. To answer some of your points: We have a change program that has multiple workstreams to build the business on a strong foundation. This has resulted in changes to roles and positions for a few people which has been unsettling for some. We focus on profit through people and we have brought in new hires to help manage our skills gap in a few areas. I would agree we have not always made the perfect hiring decisions but we deal with issues as we go along. On the other hand we have a number of people who have left Bluesource and returned back to us after working for other companies. The office has recently been refurbished but I am always keen to understand how we can improve it. On pay we monitor the market and ensure we are paying market rate. There have been pay rises for employees who have or are in danger of falling behind the market. This year we are growing our revenues and profit demonstrating a real relevance to our customers and prospects who consistently tell us we offer great value solutions with industry leading people.
