Pros

If you are: 1) fresh out of college 2) got no industry experience 3) needing a semi-full time job that pays so-so 4) looking for a job that's not restaurant related and min wage + tips kind 5) Just looking for a random M-F 8-5 desk job 6) and desperately needing to fill some blank space on your resume that looks half way decent... if you can answer YES to all of the above, this is a place for you. The owner is a world class clown, in so many ways. If you can tolerate his unpractical ideas and lopsided theories, this is a place for you. Work it self is pretty easy.

Cons

Employees are generally nice and easy to get along. But the owner is something else. His thought process is very so backwards, outdated, old school Japanese way, pre-WWII'era style. He is prejudice against non-Japanese employees. He has a favorite and not-so-favorite employee list. For his favorite employees, he buy them lunches and dinners, approves vacation days excessively, give them overtime and he'll say "yes" to anything you ask him for. Have you noticed, their website has TONS of "new" openings? They are all bogus listings. They are never hiring in an official capacity. The owner instructs his HR and directors to put bogus postings so he can collect resumes and he calls them in for interviews. Resume collecting is his hobby. I worked for him for 4 years. I didn't quit this company. I quit the owner.

Pros

As stated in other reviews, you're required to go above and beyond your job description so you end up with quite a list for your resume.

Cons

Firstly, if you value doing good work and taking pride in your accomplishments, turn around and apply elsewhere. This company is not interested in people who use common sense and professionalism. The management wants drones that follow orders without opinions, no matter if it's working out or not. Disagree and management will make your job ninety degrees of uncomfortable. The satisfaction of the consumer is at the bottom of the list, pleasuring the management's egos are at the top. Again, if you value your work and the customer, find other avenues of employment. On top of this, you'll be paid Walmart wages and be expected to do the jobs of multiple employees, all while being treated very poorly. The work environment there was less than satisfactory, to put it very mildly. Word of warning to potential interns: you won't learn anything, instead they'll put you to work on things that paid employees should be doing. Be smart, don't be blinded by your love of anime and manga. They count on that fact. You deserve to be paid for your services and to be treated with dignity.
