Pros
Fully covered healthcare premiums, great personable people, you are valued as a human being and member of the team, learning is a continuum and encouraged, growth is fostered. There IS a 401K match (AMEN) - this is like sighting a unicorn nowadays. It just doesn't happen even when working for companies that claim to manage or support benefit management. There is also a level of trust and partnership that is highly coveted and appreciated. Thorough interview process.
Cons
You have to be able to grasp the complexities of the application with minimal support (not for those who need more of a hands-on approach), but there is a wealth of video and print collateral, as well as shadowing opportunities if you are motivated to seek the knowledge base and competencies you'll need on the job. The breadth and depth of knowledge needed to feel competent is vast, but there is opportunity provided to onboard.
