Pros

None - a truly awful company to work for

Cons

Toxic Executive: The entire operation is a one-man dictatorship with the CEOs only goal being to make money on his initial investment. He has zero interest in building a sustainable business or supporting staff. Discriminatory Culling: Following the recent merger, the restructuring process was a complete sham. Redundancy rules were ignored. Instead of pooling everyone fairly, management exempted their favorites from the selection pot. Yes-Man Culture: Professional competence means nothing here. Survival depends entirely on ego-stroking. If you offer objective feedback, challenge a bad strategic decision, or refuse to be a yes-man, you will be managed out. Zero Operational Support: Consultants and internal staff (particularly the women) are not supported. There is no professional development, no women on the top team and no leadership guidance. You are expected to hit targets without tools while navigating a hostile environment.

We take all feedback seriously and respect that former employees may hold different views about their experience. However, we do not recognise this review as an accurate reflection of either our culture or the process described. Following the merger, the business undertook an organisational review to align teams and roles across the combined organisation. As part of this process, difficult decisions were made based on business requirements, organisational design and role alignment. We categorically reject the suggestion that appropriate employment processes were not followed, that employees were treated unfairly, or that decisions were driven by favouritism or discrimination. These are serious allegations and do not reflect either the facts of the process undertaken or the standards by which we operate. We also strongly disagree with the characterisation of our leadership and culture. Our leadership team is focused on building a sustainable, long-term business that creates opportunities for clients, consultants and employees alike. Constructive challenge, professional debate and differing viewpoints are valued, and many of our best outcomes have come from employees who have brought new ideas and challenged existing thinking. We recognise that organisational change can be difficult and that individuals may not always agree with decisions that affect them personally. However, we are proud of the professionalism, dedication and integrity demonstrated by our teams throughout the integration of the two businesses. We remain committed to treating people fairly, supporting their development and fostering a workplace where employees can contribute, grow and succeed.

Pros

During my time at mthree, the company underwent significant restructuring, including numerous layoffs and the transition of departing from Wiley. While there were challenges, the mission behind the Hire, Train, Deploy model was strong in theory and gave me a sense of purpose in helping applicants find opportunities. The North America Talent Acquisition team was the highlight of my experience—led by people who genuinely care about their work and the candidates they support. They are what make mthree so great.

Cons

I've witnessed upper management fail to support an employee after a client placed them in a difficult situation. The entire model of mthree is to provide support from beginning to end of the candidate journey. That experience made it clear to me that mthree was not a long-term fit. The sales department has unstable relationships with clients, which directly impacts the quality and consistency of work available to consultants. As a result, those who complete the 8-week training program often find themselves in uncertain positions once their training ends. Additionally, upward mobility is extremely limited due to the company's small size, making it necessary to look elsewhere for steady career growth.
