Pros

Everyone at the company is very friendly.

Cons

The company was top heavy when they needed more guest facing employees. Managers and directors were promoted or hired instead of addressing the burnout of those in customer facing roles. The salary is lower compared to the amount of work (energy) expected. Leadership appears to be apathetic to the workplace culture.

Pros

Mostly remote if you are in the US Fun industry A couple really good employees

Cons

It's hard to work for a company where the management is so absolutely awful. Managers do not get training and cannot handle their teams or work with other teams. They do not take their employees issues under consideration or include them in decisions that directly affect their teams. Employees (and managers) are disrespectful, rude, flat out mean to others and it's allowed. The rules that apply to different locations of the business are forced on the locations where it does not make sense for that area. IE- things that work in Europe do not always work in the US. The lack of communication from higher ups, lack of training, inclusion in meetings and any sort of team building are severely lacking. Pay is ok but there are few benefits. No 401k, minimal pay raises, no growth opportunities for most employees, and the promises of travel for work don't actually happen. They let good people go and promote people with no actual skills or leadership abilities. It's toxic and hard to care with a culture that doesn't care about you. The amount of work and hours expected are way more than the pay is worth. Bonuses are not paid out on time, and dependent on factors you have no control over. So many people quit soon after starting, and employees are not set up for success.

Thank you for your feedback, and sharing your views. We are sorry to hear that you have had a negative experience with some elements of working with onefinestay, however, this experience does not seem in keeping with most employee’s experiences. Whilst there could be an isolated case of a manager not managing their team as effectively as they could, managers in general are well regarded at onefinestay. In fact, both our culture and management were our top scoring elements in our 2024 engagement survey and are often commented on positively in our regular employee voice survey. In terms of team building, we have made efforts to bring teams together in person where possible, and had great feedback from our US team offsite last year. This really helped with team communications and building rapport. We cannot comment on specific cases in this forum and are not aware of any specific complaints raised, but would welcome the opportunity to discuss this if you would reach out to the people team at people@onefinestay.com.
