Pros

Good learning opportunities. Short term projects mean you get to work on different projects with different tech stack.

Cons

'Psychological safety' is promoted as one of the core values, but the entire thing functions on intimidation and scare tactics. You will be forced to work overtime or even stretch on the weekends. If you bring it up, higher management's favourite quote is "If you are having to stretch, it means you are not doing you job efficiently, so that is your fault." If you refuse, your reviews and feedback will be threatened. Extremely toxic work culture. HR is just for show.

Full remote is not for everyone. Some travel can be required depending on the project.

Pros

Remote Work with good people The actual delivery work is very easy

Cons

Very easy work is also very boring. You won't be challenged here. phData being owned by private equity now means you will be exploited. The higher up the chain you go, the more you are expected to participate in sales responsibilities, without any additional pay. Solutions architects can be expected to work up to 10 or 15 extra hours per week doing this, unpaid, beyond the 40 hours of delivery work required. And the only way to get promoted is to willingly exploit oneself in this way. They don't really care about delivery excellence anymore, and they certainly don't take employee preferences and experience into account when assigning to projects. It's all about getting a butt in a seat and charging the client, maximizing the margin, because at phdata, the workers are the product.
