Pros

-great stepping stone into IT field -opportunities to learn hardware and software repairs -it’s a fun opportunity

Cons

-worked at a franchise location before 2021 -I was made manager after the existing manager was stealing money and I accidentally found out, trying to figure out how to issue a warranty repair -Ownwr he had me working 60+ hours as a manager at $14/hr pay which calculated came out to be about $8/hr…… -when I took time off he said he would use my pto & I had to argue that I’m working way over 40 hrs and that he would not use my pto hours. -I complained to mgmt above him and nothing was ever done about it. -he also refused to withhold child support payments for employees -no benefit options.

Pros

- Fast Paced, plenty to keep even the busiest hands occupied. - Room to learn an industry that will survive for as long as technology exists. - Some experience can translate well in other fields. - Good opportunity to earn commission through sales if requirements are met.

Cons

- If you are ONLY interested in a tech/tech repair focused position, this is not the job for you. Unless you have a decade of experience you will be expected to make sales, bargain for reviews, and go above and beyond at all times to increase store sales. - MASSIVE barriers to earn commissions. - No PTO - No sick days - No upward movement except for extrordinary circumstances. - Falls short of other employers in terms of compensation. - No raises whatsoever once you finish training. - Shady grey-area business practices, straddling the line of breach of contract with partnerships at some points. - You will be asked to lie, mislead, cheat, and manipulate not only customers, but the very partners that keep your stores in business. The partners of uBreakiFix (mainly Asurion) have to constantly update the terms and rules of their partnerships because you are expected to take complete advantage of every single customer that walks in your doors. If you have any sort of moral compass whatsoever, look somewhere else. The best way to survive at uBreakiFix is to KEEP YOUR HEAD DOWN. They don't require experience, but expect to be thrown to the wolves as soon as your 90-days are up. Hit the ground running, keep your head down, and make sure your hands are clean at the end of the day.
