I worked at Engineering Services Network full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great pay and benefits, and great people who are always willing to help. The company cares about employees developing. The company is primarily a government contractor, but does work in a variety of fields - engineering, IT, cyber security, business services - so there are many different career options. My position required travel, and I enjoyed it; however, I realize it is not for everyone.

    Cons

Any time you work for a company that primarily does government contracting, you are subject to the ups and downs of government funding. If the government stops funding a project, there is always potential for layoffs.

    Pros

Good people, owner willing to give you the shirt off his back

    Cons

Needs to "let go" and allow his staff to operate the company
Needs to clean out some of the old resources which cost more than they make and the free ride has gone on long enough

    Advice to Management

    Empower your people more
