    Pros

Highly dependable on the team you are working with. It's a fun and vibrant environment with a lot of things going on everyday.

    Cons

HR does not fully understand what it takes to be in a certain position, often than not you have to do a lot more than what is required for.

I have been working at Esplanade full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Iconic, national arts center, caring environment. The working environment is good, people are nice and it has a family sort of feel. You are exposed to a wide range of arts genre. You are given ownership to your projects, little micromanaging, so this is quite refreshing and appreciated. Staff training and development is encouraged. HR dept is excellent. Expect a lot of direct interaction with the upper management which is both pro and con. Company is expending so there is lots of opportunities to grow. Staff discounts to shows at the center, F&b.

    Cons

The upper management can be rigid sometimes. There is a lack of clear direction from the upper management sometimes, guidelines keep changing. Too many processes also. Not much career progression is quite linear, if you are seeking to climb the corporate ladder this is not the place for you. Benefits are there but so so as compared to private sector. Salary is ok only.

    Advice to Management

    Clearer direction is needed.
