Poor office climate

Pros

Work with great brands, diverse cliental, low key office environment (jeans are acceptable), paid internship plus monthly metrocard.

Cons

Poor crisis management, extremely gossipy office environment, and an internship regardless of the type of "industry" and regardless of the fact that you're being paid should never require delivering the boss's dry cleaning and running out to buy coffee for the team. An internship is a learning experience & what I took away from my time at Exposure was that a poor office climate can lead to a poor experience regardless of how good the benefits and brands might be.

Exposure Response

Thank you for your feedback. One of our goals at Exposure is to treat each individual with dignity and respect. In order to do so, we take strides to maintain a positive culture for our employees. It is clear is that the culture you experienced is one that is counter to what we strive for. We clearly fell short of our own expectations here. As a result of feedback from our past interns we have completely overhauled our Internship program. We have partnered with a professor from Parsons to develop a curriculum which will offer our interns an enriching experience during their time with us while earning college credit towards graduation. Moving forward our interns will be engaged in lectures and mentorship to attain learning objectives. Anytime we fall short, we want to hear about it and, while we’d prefer to have someone speak to a Director or our HR team, we appreciate the opportunity to respond to this post.

Pros

Great place for young PR folks or very experienced PR folks. Great place for young art directors and designers.

Cons

Tough place for those who are neither brand new nor 8-10 years deep. Not very strategic in nature, more production work. Creative and aesthetic led. Not very media savvy beyond earned media. No media buying. Tough place to climb the creative ladder since it's very small and controlled.

Pros

Really FUN place to work. Lots of parties and free flowing booze. Change to work with cool brands IF they stay with the agency but they often don't.

Cons

There aren't many people to learn from and those that can teach aren't interested. There is def a mean girls spirit to the agency. Things are not quite as professional as they are portrayed. If you just want to have fun this is a great place. If you want to work, learn and grow in your career this agency will leave you frustrated.
