I worked at FirstService Residential full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There really were no pros. Management was terrible and the environment was unprofessional.

    Cons

No training, expected to know everything without any help. 4 properties for 1 person is too much and the turnover for this position is very high. Awful benefits package.

    Advice to Management

Talk to and guide your associates. They're your best asset.

I have been working at FirstService Residential full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company truly supports your career decision and provides many tools to help grow in the company. The company has properties all over the states and Canada.

    Cons

8 hours is never enough in the world of property management. The company doesn't have timeshare or resort properties to manage.

    Pros

Quick Hiring process, building all over the nation which provides you the opportunity to transfer if needed, health, dental, and vision insurance is offered through the company plus 401-k.

    Cons

Its very learn as you go. They offer one day of training then you go to your location and start working. each location follows the same standards provided by FSR but they're all very different,

    Pros

There are no pros to rate.

    Cons

When FSR purchases a company, they should treat the acquired employees with value. If the company was good enough to purchase, do you think it could possibly have to do with the staff? Lose employees, lose contracts.

I worked at FirstService Residential full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Co-workers were awesome and got along really well!

    Cons

Upper management-Regional and above were not great! Accounting department was terrible at completing tasks. SOP seemed to change daily which lead to much confusion. Supposed commission scale for managers is a joke (at least in northern Nevada) and unobtainable!

    Advice to Management

Send a decent set of coin down to the community associates (who are ridiculously underpaid) and the managers who are the ones doing the majority of the work while watching the upper management get richer! Need to get rid of the massive growth attitude and work on feeding the workers that are helping make it happen!
