I worked at Flying Food (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great place to learn how a traditional operation works without much technology. There are a lot of opportunities to more up the ladder if you are good.

    Cons

There is a lack of technology infrastructure and proper organization to support its growth. The company has been growing fast yet operating like a small business.

    Advice to Management

There are missing critical positions and skill set in the corporate management team. Restructure the corporate functions and hire smart professionals with proven track record of driving changes and results.

I have been working at Flying Food full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

free lunches and basic coverage for medical, dental, and vision

    Cons

Corporate has little to no knowledge as to what really happens at the unit level. They make irrational decisions no matter who is affected by them. There is a clear disassociation from the unit level to senior management. Pay scale is low across the business (except for senior mgmt). The words "team work" are rarely heard and the good employees they do have on payroll, tend to leave after several failed attempts at improving their departments and having no support. I have learned a lot during my time here; however, I am choosing to leave this company to pursue a organization that has high ethical standards and values.

I have been working at Flying Food full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

large family atmosphere with decent but not great benefits. meals provided during shifts. many long term employees. safety seems to be a major priority

    Cons

sometimes quality of product is compromised due to disorganization surrounding tight deadlines. pay is not great... upper management is extremely disorganized (especially more recently due to death of the owner) future of the company unstable

    Advice to Management

put managers through more training. managers need to be more focused on the needs of thier employees and need to be able to instill higher morale.

I worked at Flying Food full-time

    Pros

This was my first job right out of college. At the risk of sounding cliche, it was hard but I learned how to react and amend absolutely every situation.

    Cons

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone hopping in as entry level "hoping to move up".

    Advice to Management

lol. management struts in after catered lunches to save face. I can't blame them with as much as they have to juggle.
