I worked at Freedom Disability part-time

    Pros

Friendly diversified workplace with a fast-paced challenging environment. New lines of business presented many opportunities for growth and changing roles.

    Cons

Constant change in business model and direction of company led to an inefficient work process. Salaries were lower than average.

    Advice to Management

The employees needed more stability with regard to the direction and leadership of the company. Innovation could have led to better success.

      I worked at Freedom Disability

      Pros

Pay. Monthly bonus if you made the metrics. Holiday party

      Cons

Random layoffs. Office dynamics were horrible due to some bad eggs

      Advice to Management

Hire individuals who don't cut corners and ruin the company. Think about the long run instead of hurrying to fill up your pockets

I worked at Freedom Disability full-time

      Pros

I liked the work we did and advocating for the disabled. Getting to travel, the ability to work from home, the home office, per diem when you were away from home overnight were all really great benefits.

      Cons

The pay was really low considering how much money you earned from appeals. Management was constantly changing and seemed unorganized. Also, the lack of guidance from management since the employees were remote.

      Advice to Management

My advice is to increase the pay to make the job more competitive. Also, manage the travel better, and not have employees in several different cities within the same week. It can be exhausting.

      I worked at Freedom Disability

      Pros

Remote work possible. Many people are nice (but they don't stay long). Company has folded, was sold a few years ago, to another disorganized, $$$-driven, clone.

      Cons

Bad management. All they care about is profits, not competence. Lazy, incompetent staff are kept forever or promoted due to cronyism. The competent, caring ones either quit in disgust or are fired by lazy, incompetent managers to protect their power. Many staff routinely ignore clients' cases, fail to return calls, file appeals in a timely manner. Managers know and have allowed it for years. High burnout because...

      Advice to Management

I won't bother because they ignore staff who care about clients or quality, efficiency. They should be running a McDonald's drive-through window, not a disability company affecting the lives of so many sick and disabled persons.

        Former Employee - Anonymous Employee

        I worked at Freedom Disability

        Pros

Flexibility, office perks, and monthly incentives. Even when the company was struggling, the monthly bonuses were not cut off.

        Cons

Constant negativity and complaining from the staff. Never ever satisfied. Very annoying to have to listen to people complain all day while some people are trying to do their work and actually wanted to be there. Employees have such disrespect for their peers and management it was disgusting. What kind of a job can you come in late, leave early, take 15 breaks during the day, long lunches, talk back to your boss and...

        Pros

Nothing really. Run while you can........

        Cons

Where to begin. Treated very badly by too young for primetime managers.

        Advice to Management

Close your doors while you still have a little money left. You jave no resprct for people you haven't let go yet.
