I have been working at Greencore (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I have worked at Greencore for almost 4 years and they have always treated me very fair. It is a pleasure working for them.

    Cons

The major con that Greencore has is the lack of communication within departments. That goes from top management to the bottom of the pole.

I have been working at Greencore full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Goal oriented production. By incoperating competition between the multiple lines to reach the daily production goal, makes the job a little more enjoyable.

    Cons

Not really any cons at all. The only con I can say is the temperature.

I have been working at Greencore full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Not many pros. It is a job. That's about it.

    Cons

It is very cold. If it is such a great place to work, why are a lot of the senior operators and crew leads quitting? A lot of them have been there longer than I have. And if it is so great, why are we on the bottom of the list with morale, and have had special meetings about it?

    Advice to Management

It is time to get rid of the old regime and put in new managers. Most of the managers have been there 20 years plus, and they cover each others mistakes and shortcomings.

I have been working at Greencore full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good people. 40 hours for non-salary. Warehouse supervisor is great.

    Cons

Salaried employees work 50-60 hours a week. Everything evolves around production.

    Advice to Management

    Train production personnel better

I have been working at Greencore full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I have to say there are some nice people who work here. The pay is decent and the benefits are not too bad either. The work isn't hard, but the cold and monotony make the job difficult.

    Cons

I have a difficult time bashing the company I am currently employed by, as I am thankful to have a decent job.

There are rules which are inconsistently enforced, especially in regards to cell-phones. There are numerous people who wear ear-buds under their head coverings or who have them in "restricted" areas.

The dress code is rarely enforced. I can not tell you the number of individuals whose waist is mid-thigh.

The company is international, but does not seem to have any "across the board" consistency. For example, the UK facilities all had Christmas celebrations, with what appeared to be catered meals and some had gift exchanges. Here, the line employees had pizza and cookies and the "C" word (Christmas) was taboo.

Then there was the whole controversy surrounding losing our incentive bonuses. There is a new plan called the Greencore Way which is supposed to recognize people who go "above and beyond" the regular duties in 4 "core" areas. This replaced our incentive bonuses. Which there are some awesome aspects to the plan. However, inaugural year seems to have amounted to not much more than a popularity contest for the monthly awards. Especially considering a majority of those who won the award have their bosses sitting on the committee. What is sad, someone actually won an award one month, for just moving some file cabinets and furniture around.

    Advice to Management

    Consistency, Consistency, Consistency

    Pros

    Cons

You work inside of a fridge a rated area in one spot watching sandwiches go down the line or putting toppings on sandwiches

    Advice to Management

Your advice to management won't make a difference because they're going to do what they want to do anyway
