I worked at Gruma full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great opportunity to learn from a disappointing company. Upper management is far too consumed with not being the next to be "eliminated" to properly run their business units. They're all frightened.

    Cons

Not so long ago, this was a place you could be proud of and excited to be a part of. Everything changed in 2012.

    Advice to Management

Leave on your own terms if you can.

I have been working at Gruma full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The department is pretty laid back. We get our assisgned locations covered in the beginning of the week to relax and follow up later in the week.

    Cons

The demand is somewhat stressful at times, but the impact we have within the company makes up for. We receive a lot of the "blame" and none of the credit.

    Advice to Management

Hold all departments accountable for their portion of the business.

I worked at Gruma (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The pros working at Mission Foods is that I had the opportunity to learn and work on a variety of projects such as ISO 9000, Leadership Training, Lean Manufacturing, 5's Programs all these were tools that allowed me to succeed on my job. We constantly have to update on a new programs that will contribute to the quality of our product.

    Cons

The cons are that your opinion don't count and you are placed a side if you try to arise any concerns. Is only the Managers opinion that counts.

    Advice to Management

Stop creating a hostile environment that cause division with in the pears. Is always good to feel appreciate by the good things that you do. No just call employees to your office when something wrong happen but also when you have to say JOB WELL DONE'.
