Pros
I like the flexibility and the fact the amount of money you make is in your hands. Training initially is bare minimal, however, the continued training is amazing and available multiple times a week, live. I feel more connected to this workplace as far as a teamwork setting due to the weekly newsletters than I did in actual hotels. It's also 24/7 so that never hurts.
Cons
The only con is the actual system. There's errors nonstop. There's incorrect hotel information very frequently. I've learned to just google the hotel information for valid information. The technology part needs a major upgrade. I wish we could transfer to group sales or customer service but we cannot transfer and have to give a 1800#. The room types will never match up. You have to do a lot of research quickly on the side to code these room types from the hotel's website. Ex: hotel will have veranda suite, junior suite, king balcony. Our system will have king bed, king bed, king bed balcony. When you do have a higher paying guest, it's a bit of an inconvenience. Only other con is that a guest cannot call you or email you back. You'll spend time getting a guest the room option at a hotel they'd like and can see the commission you'll make, but they'll need to grab husband's or bosses card or something/confirm with principal for a sporting group rate and call you right back and want you and only you because you've done all this rapport with them but you sadly just have to have them call back to any random worker and that worker will receive your hard earned commission. That part blows.

A Career Path You Can Call Home
Mar 23, 2022 - Enterprise Account Manager in Dallas, TXRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
It's hard this day in age to find a company that not only says they care about their employees but shows it. Working in a harmonious and family oriented atmosphere has made my decision to switch career paths an easy one. Pay and bonus structure is indicative of how much they value their staff.
Cons
Finding a con will be difficult to do.
