      Amazing brand, but bullying culture set by CEO

      CEO is a bully and the culture kills mental health. He is not happy until he has crushed people into submission and humiliated them into doing what he wants or needs, be that presentations, cancelling their holidays or hitting numbers. The pressure, panic and issues that causes in people's private lives is devastating. Everything revolves around pleasing one individual and presumably lining his pockets and financial security. Meanwhile everyone else is expected to reject family life, any work life balance and lose their mental wellbeing. The board do not challenge these behaviours

      I am so pleased to read the flurry of negative reviews on Hovis. The leadership team of this iconic brand need to be held to account and dismissed for the horrid way they treat managers. Personally, they knocked my confidence so severely it made me mentally ill and has impacted my career. It's unfortunate that the avg length of service is currently under 2 years for senior managers so there is little protection legally for the way you are treated. I am unsure why the PE house do not take action and sack the Exec team to avoid other people making the same mistake many of us have over the last 3 years. It's hard to believe places like this still exist.

      Shocking leadership team. All very red people making this a terrible environment to work in. The leadership are rude - often shouting across the open plan office and swearing Very much a blame culture Non co-operative High stress
