I worked at Hubbell full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Benefits were great. Medical benefits were above standard. It kept me very active & healthy. Fulfilling orders on-time felt good.

    Cons

Being on our feet for 8-12 hours with only a few 10 min. breaks can be hard on the legs, feet, & joints.

    Advice to Management

I leave this to Upper Management. No complaints.

    Pros

Fair. Company takes good care of their employees. Always feeling appreciated for showing up to work on time and ready to go.

    Cons

People can be awful. Pay could be better since we are hourly without commissions. I want a raise people! Oh well.

I have been working at Hubbell full-time

    Pros

Good benefits, always a busy environment

    Cons

The hourly wage is pretty low. Even the leads don't make enough money. Only the supervisors and the manager are making decent money. Little opportunity to grow.

    Advice to Management

Show some appreciation by giving your employees a decent raise and productivity would flourish.

I have been working at Hubbell full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great people to work with and for. Great products to sell. Great reputation in the electrical industry. New product introductions continually expand the basket of what we can sell.

    Cons

None that I can think of. Management seems to do a good job of taking care of the bottom line as well as employees needs.

I have been working at Hubbell full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay is higher than most jobs

    Cons

Management does not seek input from employees and the review process is cumbersome and outdated

    Advice to Management

Management needs to make an effort to get to know their employees and other employees in other departments. Hubbell has several people who hold engineer degrees, yet, they aren't using their degrees. People leave and their position is not replaced. Many departments are understaffed and the workload is not divided equally.
