Pros

The benefits are decent. The job itself is mostly OK, providing you don't get fired within the first year, which happens a lot.

Cons

The salaries are uninspiring, and management keeps people in the dark as much as possible. If you keep the job, it will be in spite of the management, not because of it.

Pros

Good benefits package and coworkers. Looks good on a resume. Work life balance was great.

Cons

Low pay, poor management, training is inadequate, and the HR department is mediocre at best. It’s not bad for starting off, but there is no reason to stay more than a year or two if you want to advance your career. Steer clear of the environmental section if at all possible.

Pros

Kind coworkers. Excellent benefits. Private office.

Cons

Private office used to isolate workers. Pay is abysmal--review the public salaries of the section (specifically the Visiting Environmental Assessments Specialist salary).
