Pros

I think the owners truly have a great concept and there is a sense of passion. I think there is one or two good managers. These managers are easily influences by the other managers which is their downfall because the other managers are down right unprofessional and unrealistic with their constant conflicting expectations. The owners have an idea of what they want within this company but they struggle as they grow because they can't keep long term employees due to the poor management and lack of clear expectations or training. Flexible as to the work schedule, as long as you get your hours in (but that standard isn’t for everyone). Decent pay depending on your position title. Company means to put out a good reputation and I’d say generally gives back to their community. There are opportunities at InCheck but you also have to ask they don’t always tell or show you. You have to remember that if the managers don't like you, you will have a tough time sticking around. I had some pretty awesome co-workers unfortunately (or should I say fortunately) it was a short lived experience. I will say my co- workers are why I still went to work everyday and stayed as long as I did. I believe most have left or are leaving soon. My over all opinion of the work load is that it just becomes onerous.

Cons

The fact that the owners are great puts little weight on the micromanagement of the mangers. There is a high level of interoffice tension that makes work life honestly unbearable. There is a high turn over rate as to employees. When I was hired they told me they restructured the company and created these positions and that they were growing. I realized after being there just a short time, that it was not actually the case, it was their way of getting around either previous employees were fired or they quit. Don't be fooled by the reasonable pay, take a day or two to come in and actually watch the process. And ask to talk to random people not just the managers that may say what you want to hear. Trust your gut, this isn't a place for everyone. There is always someone that has a target on their back. The company is still new and growing. Hopefully the owners will notice and stop covering for those managers that do little to no work but assign tasks to everyone else. I think the biggest challenge with this company is expectations are constantly changing. There is favoritism among the manager and certain employees which is apparent. Also, there is a certain manager that is favored due to her "experience in criminal background checks", but most of her day is spent talking about herself and also talking about others in the office. I would not recommend a person to apply or accept a position until the management of the company changes. The turn over rate is clear. Best guess the average employee stays for about 1 year ( I think I may be generous with my guess too).

Pros

The only positive is the casual work environment. Very lax dress code. Location in Tosa is close to lots of shops and restaurants as long as you don't mind walking. Can't drive anywhere in the area with all the construction.

Cons

Terrible management. Owners make no effort to get to know employees. All about the bottom line. They reward employees who do poor work as long as they do it fast. Don't care about quality of work product. All about hitting quotas. Lots of gossip in the office. Sad part is that upper management will say one thing to your face and then talk about you behind your back. They are willing to lose good employees and won't listen to feedback about what isn't working. Very low employee morale. Road construction and parking situation is horrible.
