Horrible company to work for

Pros

Invests a lot into training. However the training is geared toward quick results, rather than aiding in your future as a recruiter.

Cons

Very high retention rate. DO NOT WORK IN THE NJ OFFICE! The most experienced recruiter in this office has only 6 months experience, because every talented and senior recruiter can not stand management in this office. This place is a revolving door. Your first year in recruiting is your most critical year, do not waste it with this company. They make False and empty promises. Small shop that does very well but does not compensate their employees appropriately. If you are okay with working 45+hour weeks for 32k then this is the place for you. They tell you that with success you will move up fast and earn a lot of money, however this is false. It takes years to start seeing any kind of money with this company. Despite being the highest earner in your first year, you will not be compensated appropriately. Avoid this company like the plague. They do a lot of training, however upon leaving infotech i learned that not only do they not know anything about sales, but their practices and training is very crooked, and scummy.

Pros

Infotech Solutions is a top notch recruiting company. Other recruiting companies have 100+ employees and assigned roles for the recruiters to work on. At Infotech, any role is open for recruiters to work on and we only have 12 recruiters, so no competition! Because of this flexibility, we are able to expand our knowledge on different types of roles and not just the "department" you are assigned to. As far as tools are concerned, Infotech gives us the tools to succeed from the get go. They pay for job boards for us to use, LinkedIn Recruiter, where each recruiter has their own account, and a database with thousands of current and past candidates. The second you get here, they have you train for 4 to 6 weeks to get a full understanding of how to recruit and understanding of all the terms when it comes to being a Technical Recruiter. Another important thing is flexibility. Most recruiting offices are working from 8 to 8, 5..maybe even 6 days a week. At Infotech, it's a regular Monday through Friday workday. We even get out 30 minutes early on Fridays, plus out early the day before all major holidays, and the day off for holidays. They are also very flexible, when you have to leave early for personal reasons or taking a vacation or personal day. No submitting a request form that comes with a "Big Staffing Firm". They even allow us to work from home when it's any type of bad weather outside. Side note - Shorts and flip flops are allowed during the summer and hoodies during the winter!

Cons

Because of the relax nature of the company, it can be easy to slack off. This is the reason why people fail here. The bosses aren't hovering over your shoulder all day, so it's really up to you if you want to have success.

Pros

Well connected with major clients from an HR and hiring manager perspective. Tons of roles to work on giving the recruiters an opportunity to make a lot of placements. The company hires entry level recruiters for the most part and puts a lot of time and effort into training them including a mentoring program. Solid company for someone who wants to learn sales and the recruiting business. There is a lot of opportunity to make money here if you're good. The company is stable and there are a handful of recruiters who have been here for 8+ years. Management is more than fair, patient with their recruiters and never berates us for doing something wrong. All criticism is given constructively which is great when you're learning so much.

Cons

There is a big learning curve. It takes some time to get up to speed but I guess this is true for any recruiting firm.
