I have been working at InterGen (MA) (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good compensation. Comfortable working environment. If you want to just do your job and go home the company is a good fit. If you are a person who has personal drive and ambition and like growth, InterGen isn't for you. Pleasant coworkers.

    Cons

No growth, weak leadership team, boring suburban office location. Time off policy is good and benefits are excellent. Senior leaders tend to stay in their offices and don't come out to cubical land often. Low cubicles offer no privacy or ability to concentrate. Everything is out in the open.

    Advice to Management

    Stop being afraid of growth.

I worked at InterGen (MA) full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Competitive salary and benefits and vacation time off are a plus.

    Cons

Poor direction from senior management, lack of vision and poor treatment of mid and lower level employees

    Advice to Management

Limited growth as the senior team is a bunch of fossils who have been around from the beginning
Stay away as it is very demoralizing place to work. Advice to the owners is to shake up senior management and start fresh.

I worked at InterGen (MA) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company is an internationally focused operator of power projects. Job security seems to be one of the key factors retaining staff as the firm has added very few assets or new businesses in the past ten years,

    Cons

Complete lack of strategic vision from senior management as assets are scattered all over the world from a legacy of development back in the '90's. Company has poor execution capability in an industry that has been in a cyclical slump for over ten years.

    Advice to Management

Break up the company by selling assets and retire.

    Pros

If you know how to move your cards, you can get a promotion very fast

    Cons

most of the decisions are taken place in the regional offices and the communication does not flow efficiently
