Friendly environment, result oriented, care about employees, flexible to work from home

After you reach certain level there are not as many growth or lateral movement opportunities like other larger companies

If you are a middle management lifer, they will almost never let you go. Offers benefits and 401k matching, etc. Environment is very casual and laid back most of the time. Even for hourlies, being late is not frowned upon unless it's frequent. Whether or not this is a problem is up to the emotional state of the managers at the time, but more often than not your coworkers are on the same page. If you last more than a few months you will probably be set for several years.

Cons

Extremely a boys club. Boss told me that he doesn't hire girls. Years later hired the first girl and we worked near each other so I witnessed a lot of harassment and nobody seemed to recognize the concept of "Women's Restroom". During hiring process, it is common to tell you the salary, then once you are hired you find out that it was decided that you get the minimum or less than minimum range advertised. Very little opportunity for advancement. Some of the Miramar production crew would get promoted to supervisor after 15 years on the job because the previous one retires. Only the upperest of management and a few middle managers seem to really have their head in the game. Passing the buck is common. If you work in the warehouse during the summer, God help you. Will panic and fire people (Including engineers) during hard times and try to rehire later for heavily reduced wages. Including management and long-time employees
