    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at KLM (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Good company which use to be very good company. Cargo Management is based in Atlanta GA! The HR department is based in NYC.

    Cons

Accounting work moved to Budapest Hungary! With that Accounting reliability and expertise decreased immensely! The company is no longer a Dutch company!

    Advice to Management

The Accounting work should never have migrated to Budapest! Dumb and misguided decision!

    Pros

Nice people, good benefits, fun tasks, engaging work.

    Cons

Old stiff culture, although its an international company, there are mainly Dutch employees that have their conversations in Dutch.

    Advice to Management

Be way more open to people from other cultures.

Former Employee - Banquet Captain in Schiphol (Netherlands)

I worked at KLM part-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Oldest airline still with the same name in the world - very stable and professional job environment - great people to work with both in the air and on the ground ! Open just culture to do your job as a pilot !

    Cons

Not much I can think of.. More flexibility in scheduling ( rostering ) would have been nice - but that is changing for the bettet as of now ( september 2018 ) / if living in the Netherlands a very high tax rate on income ( about 53%). Relation with Air France is difficult. KLM tries to safe on every penny and Air France seems to go on strike every month or so.

    Advice to Management

Keep open the dialogue with Your employees. KLM in the older days was a very ‘ people oriented ‘ company. That should come back. Only people make the real difference. Not slogans or strategies but motivated happy crew and groundstaff.
