Fair pay, good benefits, opportunity for advancement in a growing company, always felt like part of the team. They even sent us to Disney World for Christmas when we had a really good year!
Cons
Sometimes the environment was extremely fast paced, short notice for job responsibilities, high expectations for output.
Average pay, average benefits, loyal executives, growth-minded leaders, travel opportunities, unique business opportunities/insights, progressive company overall.
Cons
Restrictive sales environment (executives protect client relationships from employees), no formal sales training, no formal internal operations, and lack of adequate and organic marketing (unimaginative, stunted, and outdated approaches).
There's a family atmosophere with a group of hardworking individuals, most of whom are auction business "lifers". Never a dull moment between the actual work and the characters that work for the company - most of whom are related. This can be both enjoyable and frustrating.
Cons
The main challenge is that the things that absolutely need attention and change are pushed to the bottom of the to-do list, meanwhile changes in job titles, responsibilities and protocol change all the time. Communication is poor. The atmosphere is often tense.
