I worked at LUKOIL full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Salaries and benefits very competitive; 9/80; travel; small exploration team works well together -all trained in the west

    Cons

Everything you have read about upper management, risk averse, random Russians with little to no experience showing up and running the show, blatant nepotism and "red passport" favoritism, zero autonomy, "lukoil engineering" purely academic meddling in all projects and absolutely trusted my Moscow, no annual raises or cola, no upward mobility, overt corruption, and more

    Advice to Management

We're do I begin...most of management are not geoscientist or engineers and know absolutely nothing about how to find oil; so maybe go back to doing whatever it was you were doing before Reagan told you to tear down your wall.....

Cancel contract with KPMG. Hire McKinsey and Deloitte to help develop a long term strategy and follow.

I worked at LUKOIL (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Paid well to keep quiet

    Cons

Command economy style of management and operation. Unbelievable. All decisions ultimately made from Moscow but the whole operation is only a diversion to make people "Think" they are adding value or doing any real work. The only people with a real future at this company are RUSSIANS! People mysteriously show up to work in positions that are friends, relatives, political party associates from Russia, sons and daughters of business associates owed favors to from around the world. Never seen anything this blatant! Nepotism at it's finest.

    Advice to Management

    LOL

I have been working at LUKOIL full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Salaries are decent compared to other companies within the same area.

    Cons

24 x 7 constant harassment which includes after hours and weekend emails which are expected to be answered. Management was "hand picked" and have no knowledge of US HR policies & ethics. Very toxic environment!
