Everything bad you hear, is true

Pros

Trauma bonding with the genuine people that work there.

Cons

A "sell yourself" workplace with no incentives, no director support, no flexibility. People with no experience are promoted to bs titles and levels. No flow or structure, or opportunity to learn and grow. Boss is wish-washy, undermines the staff and their work, rude, not empathetic and only rewards "yes" people. Plus, there's no support. Those in "senior" management have fake titles and no job descriptions. Clients are sold the dream to be with a luxury agency, but staff are working over-time and promised good change - only for it to never come and the same toxic cycle repeats itself.

Pros

Nice office and free product. Put the ridiculous decor budget towards better salaries and HR training for the CEO. Looks good on your resume.

Cons

Left MaxMediaLab with the worst mental health and imposter syndrome of my life. CEO will openly insult you and your competence with no understanding of the situation at hand in a room full of people. Directors provide no training, guidance or accountability - not even a clear job description. CEO will call you by the wrong name and look you up and down if you’re not wearing designer clothing. Take initiative and you will be reprimanded. Follow the status quo and you’re told you’re not senior enough. The Instagram is a complete facade. Attempts at branching out with sister agencies are embarrassing.
