Great bonuses. The company and owners have very high expectations for performance, but they leave you alone to do your job and expect professional results. However, there is definitely an open door policy between owners and employees. The office is small with only 15 employees, and everyone seems to be busy all the time. There is generous Paid Time Off of up to 4 and a half weeks per year plus holidays. Bonuses run up to 15% of base salary and are based on success of the company. Company has become much more relaxed place to work since change in ownership in 2017. Everyone gets along, but there's no time for "fun and games". I will continue to work here as long as possible because of the generous pay/bonuses and company's reputation in the community.
Cons
Lack of training program, no retirement plan (small company)
This company has a great reputation in town. They've been in business a very long time and have many big demanding clients. Employees are expected to know their job and get things done without being babysat. Everyone is friendly and gets along well for the most part. Good pay and benefits when compared to other companies of the same size. I got about five weeks of paid time off my first year and was paid for the overtime I put in even though I am salaried. Nice bonus at the end of the year and a chance to buy into the company with stock options.
Cons
No training. Everybody is very busy and there is no one dedicated to training new employees, but I always feel I can go to my boss if I need help. No tolerance for mistakes. There's a lot of pressure to put out PERFECT projects. Be prepared to work hard (this is not a government job if you know what I mean)
