I have been working at MedSpeed full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Its a great job if you're in school, but do not expect a career out of it if you are a driver. They work with your schedule, supervisor are pretty helpful and some really care about the drivers which i appreciate a lot. Good dental, vision, and medical, and 2 weeks vacation for full time employees. 1 week for part time. The job is super easy and laid back. Scanner is really easy to learn. And you're are pretty much your own boss when you're driving.

    Cons

okay the cons, here we go. So first i will talk about dispatch, You will have a love, hate relationship with them, but mostly hate. They throw jobs at u sometimes that are not even near your route, they do not realize that some of your stops on your scheduled have late times, and when you throw in stops(we called them same-days, which are stops that are added that day that are not apart of your scheduled stops you do everyday) that have the same closing times but both are in the completely opposite ends of the worlds, and you still got more stops to go in between, and you try calling dispatch back to explain how its completely impossible for me to make it to that stop, but cant comprehend as to why i cant do it, and try to explain to me that i can make it, when they are in a whole different state and rely on a computer to tell them everything which constantly has to be maintenance and fixed, so then u just agree at that point and hang up and call your supervisor which 90% of the time, they will work with you instead of dispatch since they know how screwed up they are sometimes.
Second, and last thing. PAY. We start out at 11 dollars an hour. While other medical courier driver(DMC, Beaumont, quest, etc..) Start out at 15 dollars. To be honest, when i first applied to this job, i didnt know 11 dollars was way to low for what we do. But when the competition starts out at 15, it really puts medspeeds driver down for being super underpaid. And we have a high turn over rate because of it, I think this company has a fantastic atmosphere, and great co-workers and supervisors, but if u want to succeed and destroy the competition, you seriously gotta pay your workers right, or they wont give you the 100% because why should they when they do not feel appreciated for not getting paid what they deserve.

    Advice to Management

You're doing pretty well, Fix your dispatch, and gives us better pay and you will be 100%

    Advice to Management

I won't bother. They only pretend to listen.

    Pros

Quarterly bonus and company car (not for personal use)

    Cons

Crappy pay, crappy routes, bad turnover rate. I see a couple of reviews on here that look really fake to me. If you have no other source of income and live in a big city, don't work here. If you do have another source of income, go right ahead. This company pays WAY less than all the other medical courier companies and the ownership doesn't care. You are nothing to them. They know you'll quit and they can cheaply and quickly replace you. If you're okay with being treated this way, then by all means.....wear the ugly green shirt and have fun getting used. But, don't expect to be heard.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of the ugly green polo!!!! Everyone hates it. Why not scrubs? Or a different material polo. It's embarassing.
Build this company with loyalty. Stop pretending you care about the community when you don't even care about your employees. And stop writing fake reviews.
