    Pros

Benefits, bonuses, holiday parties, overall I love this company. Just to clarify, I am not apart of management in any way, just a Mediacom Technitian. Company is very flexible when it comes to time off and family emergencies.

    Cons

Hours can be long, during certain parts of the season, but it isn't bad.

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up.

I worked at MediaCom full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -good vacation time
-director level and below are good, hard working people and don’t feed you a ton of BS and company propaganda
-a couple of toxic, high ranking people recently left
-the new managing partner seemed like he’s looking to make big changes to the company culture
-working for a big name client opens doors

    Cons

-terrible work life balance (60-70 hrs per week was the norm)
-A lot of people have to resort to saying they’ll quit for a promotion to be pushed through (for months management will string people along saying the delay is with finance etc.)
-despite putting in a lot of OT, the salaries aren’t competitive at all (I now make almost 30% more doing the same job at another company)
-culture is slowly becoming more corporate and has less of a small company vibe that it used to have

    Advice to Management

-Actions speak louder than words. You can say employees are valued all you want but it’s meaningless if you aren’t promoting people when it’s deserved or adequately paying employees.
-set realistic expectations for when someone can expect to be promoted rather than stringing them along for months giving different excuses
-consider how much OT people are putting in when offering a salary

    Pros

Big name clients. A few good people there. You will learn about media.

    Cons

Factory like environment. You're often expected to be in the office for an 8 am meeting but still are required to leave at 6pm. Working from home doesn't exist. The floors for analytics have no windows and white desks in an open office environment where your every move is monitored.

You're treated like a commodity and not a person.

Very little actual analytics gets done in the digital analytics group. It's mostly basic reporting and propaganda to sustain Mediacom's digital media buys.

They deliberately hire average employees to make sure they will stay and have little option to go to another company.

Leadership will talk down at you and will turn your co-workers against you or use them to collect intelligence on you. Can be a toxic environment.

    Advice to Management

Don't treat your people like cattle if you care about turnover rates or employee satisfaction.

    Pros

Some great, hard-working and intelligent people. If you are very lucky you'll get a few of these on your team (as smaller teams can vary significantly). That's about it.

    Cons

Obsession with internal politics causing immense pressure on employees. You consistently put in 60 hours weekly and its never enough. Incredibly inefficient processes in place. Senior management doesn't care. Out of all the agencies I've worked at, this was by far the worst.

    Advice to Management

If you care about your team, dedicate the time to improving the culture and processes so they can better perform.

    Great learning opportunity.
    Casual dress code.

    Cons

Long hours, including nights and weekends. No work life balance.
    A lot of gossip.
No room for growth depending on the account.
    No appreciation for hard work.
Management doesn’t appear to value their employees.
    Salary below market standards.
    Very toxic work environment.

    Advice to Management

    Pros

The people for the most part are great. Established great friendships. Under WPP so there is opportunity to move around the WPP network.

    Cons

-The leadership is not taking this small office in the right direction.
-Super long hours and expect you to live and breath work. They don't scope projects and expect you to do a job of 5 people.
-No room for growth within the office
    -Strict vacation policy

    Advice to Management

Allocate the proper resources to this office if you want to properly grow and reduce heavy turn around.
