I have been working at Method Products full-time for less than a year

    Pros

As a newbie here at Method I have thoroughly enjoyed the last few months here. I have been able to bring my ideas from previous companies to my team and allowed to share my past experiences and ideas. Method does care about its employees by providing EXCELLENT benefits, free perks such as products, happy hour events, off sites and even encourages Care Days where employees can volunteer and help within the community. Amazing culture and great work/life balance. Most employees are out the door by 5pm. Employees here are very friendly and everyone says hello to each other. Sure some days may be frustrating but in the end we are all here to deliver the best products to our customers.

    Cons

Can't think of any cons at this time.

    Method Products Response

We appreciated your thoughts regarding the changes taking place here. While we were sad to see our beloved CEO decide to leave, we are very excited about welcoming a new CEO - we are a big believer in change being a positive thing. We are fortunate that SC Johnson is supportive of our collective vision + mission. We are excited for what the future holds!!!

I worked at Method Products part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Method offers full time employees a fairly competitive benefits package (401K matching!) and yearly bonuses based on performance. Folks around the office are friendly, and the space itself reflects the company's quirky, weird, and creative culture.

    Cons

The teams at method are generally lean, and management doesn't do a great job of advocating for headcount when functions are stretched thin. People leaders generally don't spend enough time giving feedback to their direct reports. There are few opportunities for upward mobility, and no real focus on individual career growth. Plus, a lack of youth in the office

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Method Products full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

People are smart, hard working and creative. The factory in Chicago is amazing. The founders influence on the culture can still be felt.

    Cons

Becoming too operationally focused since founders left and acquisition by SC Johnson. This is already having an impact on the culture.

I have been working at Method Products full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Method PBC has a great work environment that embraces diversity and culture. There is a nice balance between work and fun because work should be fun sometimes! Lots of team collaboration and lots of care/passion/dedication to do what's right and to fight dirty! Method is a B Corp with an amazing score of 146!

    Cons

Method is a small business and if you prefer a big company with a multi-layered structure in place then Method might not be for you.

I have been working at Method Products full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Method is a company that cares about it's employees and their well being. A lot of companies say that and claim to have an employee centric culture... Method actually lives those values. Benefits are best in class across the board. People are smart, funny, creative and like the values claim " they care like a mother". There is never a dull moment and always a million ways to contribute to the overall company growth. Being a B-corp is a really special designation and for those looking for a company that considers people and the environment first... this is the place for you. Join us and help us KEEP IT WEIRD!

    Cons

Working in a smaller company means you can't always take a straight and laser focused career path, you have to find other ways to grow and stretch. If you are looking for fancy titles this is not the place for you, it is about team effort and collaboration. People who work well in strict, rigid environments might find Method a bit more free spirited and less structured in process and hierarchy than some larger companies.
