Pros

There are several people who dutifully work here who put in the time and effort to try make things right.

Cons

Extreme racism, classism, sexism, and poor management. Two office that function completely different. When these things are brought to HR, they smile and say "is that really something you want on (that person's) record?" and guilt you out of reporting. Incredibly low wages because they can hire the least-trained people and work them until they break. High turn over. Promises broken. Management team and Team leaders asked for opinions, but ultimately all decisions made by CEO who re-orgs whenever there are issues instead of taking the opportunity to teach, and learn from mistakes. Too many unhappy people in one place.

Pros

Receiving an outside investment may help foster upper management changes as that firm digs into how the day-to-day is run. Benefits are average at best. Are desperately trying to adapt and figure out a way to increase revenue by adding services and some new technologies but haven't found the magic bullet yet. They say the right things on the surface and respond to negative reviews correctly. Don't bother to cut and paste most of your typical response to this review, it's unnecessary. Notice that negative reviews, of which there are a preponderance, are usually followed by positive ones. Ask yourself why? There are some very nice and competent employees.

Cons

Nepotism is in effect here so investigate your role and responsibilities and who you'll be reporting to and working with carefully. The CEO can't accurately predict what company revenue will be year over year and takes no accountability for the misses. Pay is on the low end of the spectrum and some employees are not treated with respect. Upper management repeatedly touts the message of being a 'family' but they fail to mention that it's a dysfunctional one, where you're only listened to if you agree with the owners.

Even our outside investment firm is a family office and they invested in MicroD because they believe in our culture and our values. They are as excited as we are to forge ahead, as evident from our latest acquisition in January. We do realize that our culture and high-performance team is not for everyone but for many, MicroD has been a work family that they have enjoyed to be part of for many years. Extremely under paid, lack of communication between departments, and a disconnect between management and employees.

We are proud to say we remain on the forefront of technology with our latest US Patent and want our company culture to reflect that in all areas. Effective communication is our highest priority. There are many ideas that we have for improving internal communication, and we will continue to push forward with those.
