Terrific company, culture & mission driven work.
Jul 12, 2017 - Independent Contractor in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Mission driven clients, really nice people to work with and a culture of care for critical things like the earth and people in addition to profit.
Cons
It's literally my favorite contracting gig; I have nothing bad to say about the place. They had high turnover last year but I believe they've found the right people for the long-term now and so far this year has been stable.

Pros
I'm writing this after being gone for a few years, and although we didn't part on great terms, after working at a few agencies, I think this was a great place to work. This team turned down clients that didn't align with their values, worked hard to maintain B-corp status, honestly asked questions about reducing their ecological footprint on the world. Maybe it's not the best company to work at, but you can find much worse out there.
Cons
The con's working for Mightybytes you'll find at any agency, when the money is slim, they cut benefits, reduce hours, and get a tight hold on billable hours, when the money is good, things relax, people have fun etc. It's just not going to be fun working at any agency that is currently losing money (not that they are now).

Things are looking up!
Apr 15, 2015 - Anonymous Employee in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
There is a great team in place currently. The devs, designers and PMs are all highly skilled and knowledgable around their jobs and fun to work with. It's a relaxed environment and people self manage well, get their work done in a timely manner and head home on time most days. Stress free and a fun place to work!
Cons
Company direction seems in flux at the moment but hopefully new management will be getting the ship steering in a new direction soon.

Comfy Workplace, Premium on Adaptability
Jul 22, 2015 - in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Excellent well-rounded staff, low-key work environment, nice office space. Since it's a smaller company, need to be able to cover a lot of bases & pitch in on short notice with something new & different.
Cons
Recent changes mean some of their processes are in flux. Will be better when that all shakes out.

Great Opportunities for People Who Can Thrive in Uncertainty
Apr 27, 2015 - Anonymous Employee in Chicago, ILRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Talented team. Very laid-back atmosphere and work-life balance. No hierarchy. You have the ability to create your own systems here and start your own initiatives. You'll get a lot of experience doing different things on different types of projects.
Cons
There has been recent turnover in staff and the business development strategy is in flux.

Pros
Brewing beer, good web development and design team. Friendly staff, variety of projects. Professional development opportunities.
Cons
Poor leadership, and sales strategy. Unrealistic expectations. Vision is all over the place. Layoffs and money issues make it an unsettling place to work.

Pros
There was a lot of forward-thinking energy I worked with some of the most creative, critical thinkers it's been my pleasure to know
Cons
Follow-through on big ideas could get sidetracked As with many agencies, the flow of work can be uneven, leading to budget issues
