I worked at NPL Construction full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Solid company with nation wide employment, will hire new workers with little experience and help them learn the job. Good job for hard workers.

    Cons

When it rains you usually get sent home. The main goal is production which is understandable being a contractor. Ok

I have been working at NPL Construction full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

For a construction job, the pay is good and the benefits are also not bad.

    Cons

It is a manual labor job and as such, there is limited growth.

I have been working at NPL Construction full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Corporate sounds great. Insurance is great for a High Deductible Plan. Medical, dental, vision, 401k for Corp insurance and Union insurance for field personnel. Cost of living increases in May. Bonus in April based on performance for area.

    Cons

Negotiate your salary before you start because there is no opportunity later. Pay is not the greatest. Advancement is rare for employees. Management are bullies. There is no NPL team. It is everyone for themselves. Management needs to learn how to treat employees better.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your employees. Don't just contact them about bad things but tell them when they are doing a good job. Look up great leadership skills, study them, and then apply them. Employees don't feel like a part of the team. Reward good employees not bad ones.

I worked at NPL Construction full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

This company supplied a job with a higher then minimum wage income. There is nothing special about this location (I can not speak for other locations). Some of the people were great to work with. I stayed because I liked the people I worked with in my specific office.

    Cons

Again, there is nothing special about this company. It was just another job. Just another pay check. There is no advancement. Raises are minimal.

I have been working at NPL Construction full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

NPL is a Nationwide Construction Company with offices all over the United States. Each office feels like a small family within a larger growing family.

    Cons

Each state manages their own offices but then reports to the Central Office and it is difficult at times, working for a company where the decisions are made in another state where each state has different issues with which to deal.
