I have been working at Norfolk State full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great colleagues who are supportive, professional and friendly. My department is a team in the truest sense. Students are mature. Most have jobs so that they can pay tuition. Its refreshing to teach students who appreciate the value of an education and who work for it.

    Cons

The administrators are supportive and go out of their way to help. Perhaps more organization would benefit the university.

    Advice to Management

    None. You are appreciated!

    Pros

Great opportunity to help create better future for children

    Cons

Politics make it difficult; appointed board members are pawns for controlling who gets jobs, contracts, etc.; no real focus on education of children

    Advice to Management

Don't work here if you are not committed to well-being of children first.
