Pros

You are (broadly) left to write what you like on the editorial side, so long as you occasionally feature a picture of the proprietor and his wife at some charity event or other. The company is much more interested in counting the money than bothering themselves with the product.

Cons

Do not expect to get a pay rise, luxuries like tea or coffee and, in the London office, prepare to see mice running about. The management team, led by the notorious proprietor, are a small, sneering boys club and best avoided.

Absolutely Shocking!!

Pros

Competitive salary, but don't expect a raise! You get lunch & travel money, subsidised gym. but that's where it ends.

Cons

I've been working here for 1 year and I've been completely mis-sold in the interview about various things, most of all bonus / commissions. While they used to offer generous payouts in previous years, sadly its all gone now. Everyone is micromanaged on time, performance & meetings, etc. which is absolutely ridiculous, like the MD wanting to know why you've come back so late from a client meeting! There's been redundancies, throughout the company even though they've turned a huge profit in 2013 - £37 million and sold their tv network for £450 million - staff has had pay freezes for the last 5 years while senior managers all collected big bonuses, in excess of £1.5 million each!! According to an article on the Guardian's website, the owner is the greediest billionaire in Britain!
