Pros
the people - the hardworking people are the heart and soul of this company. compared to other places, the insurance benefits were actually quite good! the pay, but only if you are in a management position
Cons
Everything. Before MPC was acquired by Novares, it was a true family company. After it was purchased....that's the story everyone is now living. Granted, MPC would not have survived the pandemic, so being part of a larger corporation saved several jobs. However, you have to ask yourself at what price. We worked people to the bone and then turned around and laid them off when it better suited our needs. If you made too much money, we would find a way to eliminate your position. We would sit around and have daily meetings on which suppliers we would pay this week and which ones we wouldn't. We stopped paying the phone bill and the phone service was cut off. We stopped paying Waste Management and the garbage piled up outside the dumpster until the neighbors complained. We laid people off and then stop paying their insurance premiums. I could go on and on, but why? Just know this company talks a good game, but at the end of day they only care about lining the pockets of the executive team.
